Walnut Banana Bread

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 3 large eggs, whisked
  • 1 cup ripe smashed bananas
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup walnuts, coarsely chopped

Directions:

  1. I like to make this recipe in my bread machine. It’s about a 2 pound loaf. You can make this in a large bowl and bake it in a loaf pan in the oven.
  2. If baking this recipe in an oven, spray a 2 pound loaf pan with vegetable spray and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the melted butter, eggs, bananas and vanilla and whisk to combine.
  4. In a separate bowl whisk the flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, and salt together to combine.
  5. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix together until smooth and well combined. Fold in the walnuts and transfer the batter to your prepared loaf pan.
  6. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for approximately 45 minutes or until the loaf is fully cooked and a toothpick inserted in the center of the bread comes out clean.
  7. If using your bread machine, follow the manufacturers instruction on how to add your ingredients and bake.
  8. When fully baked, remove the loaf from pan, let it cool completely. Serve and enjoy!
