Lemon Mistake Cake

Ingredients:

  • 1 box angel food cake mix
  • 1 can lemon pie filling, about 10 ounces
  • 1/2 cup water

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degree’s.
  2. Spray a 9x13 or desired baking dish with vegetable spray and set aside.
  3. Combine all of the ingredients into a large mixing bowl. Blend together completely.
  4. Transfer the blended cake mixture to your prepared baking dish.
  5. Bake in the oven for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the middle of the cake comes out clean. Depending your your baking dish, you may need to adjust cooking times accordingly.
  6. When the lemon cake is baked, remove from the oven and let it cool completely before serving.
  7. A great topping idea, whip 2 cups of cream and fold into the whipped cream another can of lemon pie filling. Place a dollop of the lemon whipped cream onto each slice of lemon cake before serving. Enjoy!
