Baked Italian Sausage Pasta

Baked Italian Sausage Pasta

Ingredients:

  • 1 package penne pasta
  • 1 pound Italian sausage
  • 1 package frozen mixed vegetables
  • 2-4 cups prepared pasta sauce
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • artisan bread

Directions:

  1. Cook the pasta according to the directions on the package. Drain, rinse and set aside.
  2. In a large oven proof sauté pan, fully cook the sausage.
  3. Add the frozen package of vegetables and the prepared pasta sauce. Depending on how much pasta sauce you like you can adjust this amount to your liking.
  4. Carefully stir the mixture together until it comes to a boil. Turn the stove off and remove the pan from the heat. Carefully fold in the prepared pasta to combine. If you don’t have a large enough sauté pan, transfer the mixture to a baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle the pasta with the shredded cheddar cheese and place in your preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until the cheese has melted completely.
  6. Finish the pasta off with a sprinkle of shredded parmesan cheese and serve with a green salad and artisan bread, enjoy!
